Islamic Relief’s Global Strategy sets out aspirations for the role of the organisation in responding to humanitarian and development challenges around the world over the next five years.
By 2021, we aim to have become one of the leading global humanitarian INGOs, and the leading humanitarian INGO working in the Muslim world. We will be one of the first to respond to international appeals for assistance, and to mobilise practical action in response to humanitarian need. We aim to be recognised in the sector for our distinctive expertise in delivering shelter in emergencies and establishing resilience within the communities we serve. We will also be responding to specific needs of people struck by disasters and long-term suffering in the developed countries where we have Islamic Relief Partners.
Based on our practical insight into the lived realities of the people we serve, we will influence the policies and practices of governments on the humanitarian priorities within our sphere of operations and on the requirement for community-based preparedness and climate change adaptation.
